Shane Nolan - Cinderella

Shane Nolan to star as Dandini in this year's Bradford Alhambra pantomime Cinderella for Qdos Entertainment.

Bradford Alhambra has announced that this year’s pantomime audiences will be ‘in the mood for dancing’ as local and much-loved funny man Billy Pearce, Celebrity Big Brother winner Coleen Nolan and stage star Shane Nolan will star in this year’s spectacular family pantomime Cinderella from 16 December 2017.

Shane will perform alongside his mother Coleen in the role of Prince Charming’s manservant Dandini. Born into a musical family, singer-songwriter Shane quickly followed in his mother’s footsteps completing a UK arena tour supporting The Nolans, earned critical acclaim starring in the UK tour of Boogie Nights and starred alongside David Hasselhoff in Last Night a DJ Saved My Life in 2016. Shane is a regular guest presenter on ITV and has previously starred in pantomime as Dandini in Cinderella for Qdos.

As a member of much-loved girl group The Nolans, Coleen’s music career began in 1980 when she joined her sisters in the chart-topping band best known for hits including I’m in the Mood for Dancing, Don’t Make Waves and Gotta Pull Myself Together. Since then she has risen to further fame as a regular panellist on Loose Women for ITV, as guest presenter on This Morning, competed in the fourth series of Dancing on Ice, released her autobiography, No Regrets, and released two novels; Envy and Denial. In 2012 Coleen was a runner up in the tenth series of Celebrity Big Brother. Coleen returned to the infamous house earlier this year, winning the competition with 33% of the public vote.

Cinderella will be produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime producer. With over 35 years’ experience and staging over 670 top-drawer pantomimes to its credit, Qdos is renowned for producing high-quality festive productions which are both contemporary and true to the traditions of pantomime and bring a host of star names and creative collaborators to its productions staged at the Alhambra and venues across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each Christmas.
